Match Highlights to follow.
Week 14 of the Macleod & Maccallum North Caledonian Season we faced Inverness Athletic FC at Ferry Brae Park in North Kessock. Bonar looked to continue on from last weekends good performance against a good Inverness side who have only lost twice so far this league campaign.
The match commenced and it was Bonar who started the brightest out of the two teams. Not long after the kick off Bonar had a brilliant chance to get ahead with the ball just flying past the post. Shortly after in the 4th minute Josh Sands was quickest to react in the box giving the visitors a deserved lead.
The first half continued with more chances for Bonar to increase their lead however it was Inverness who got back into the game on the 17th minute. Michael McRobert jumping highest in the box before the ball fell to Jake Lockett at the back post to level the sides. The first half remained a deadlock with chances for either team to go in at the break ahead but for some good saves from either keeper.
The second half continued similar to the first. More chances for the away side came and went keeping the home side in the game. Inverness punished Bonar’s missed chances on the 75th minute with a long range strike from Brodie Watson finding its way into the back of the nett. Bonar pushed to get back into the game, but Inverness were fortunate on the 80th minute doubling their lead through an OG from a Bonar Defender to put the game out of reach for the away side.
