Week 24 of the North Caledonian Season seen us play against Invergordon FC being played in Invergordon due to our Home pitch being unplayable, unfortunately meaning we lost the home advantage. Also missing was Jack Traynor our Club Captain through Illness who was replaced by Jack Corbett taking the role.

In wet & windy conditions, we knew it was going to be a challenge against a very good Invergordon side who are at the top of the league. The longer we stayed in the game the better our chances.

The game started with both teams well organised. Invergordon had the majority of possession but Bonar’s defense held well to keep the score line even. The break through came on the 26th minute for Invergordon when they were awarded a soft penalty in Bonar’s eyes which was well finished by Ryan McFee. 1-0.

Bonar now had an uphill battle, but for the remainder of the half held strong with chances to get back into the game. The first half finished 1-0.

2nd Half started with Bonar now playing into the wind. The Bonar defense was working hard to keep Invergordon from scoring a second. Invergordon got there second on the 62nd minute through James Ross scoring from a freekick on the edge of the box.

Bonar kept going though with hard work to keep Invergordon from scoring again and creating chances, running tirelessly in windy conditions.

The game finished with Invergordon scoring a third on the 77th minute through Callum Murray from distance with a well struck effort cannoning in off the post.

The final score finished 3-0 to Invergordon who showed there quality throughout the game. Bonar squad did well in tough conditions against a top side with some key players in the squad missing. A couple of injuries picked up through the game which we hopefully is nothing serious as we look to our next game against Golspie in the 1st round of the North Caledonian Cup. Well done to Invergordon and all the best for the remainder of the season.

Man of the Match for Bonar was Dave Macgruer who was key in defense to keeping Invergordon at bay for large parts of the game.
