Week 13 of the Macleod & Maccallum North Caledonian Season we returned to home action against Clachnacuddin ‘A’ FC in the first meeting between the sides this season. Bonar looking to get back to winning ways with a strong squad on show which seen a large crowd come down and watch the game.
The first half started with chances for Bonar to get ahead however a number of missed chances meant Clach were able to remain in the game. On the 26th minute Clach punished Bonar with a strike from Aaron Grant on the edge of the box finding it way into the bottom corner.
The 2nd half started and Bonar looked keen to get back into the game. Dave MacGruer was introduced into the game which helped bolster the home sides mistakes. Chances were coming for the home side to get level, and a Defense splitting ball from Dave MacGruer found Connell Gresham who was fouled in to the penalty area. Bruce Urquhart fired home on the 71st minute to level the scoring and give an exciting end to the game. Richie Brittian was brought on and didn’t take long to make an impact. A brilliant volley from outside the box on the 74th minute giving the home side a deserved lead after dominating the chances in the game.
Bonar finished strong continuing to attack for another goal to seal the game. Connell Gresham found himself through on goal before slotting home on the 83rd minute to put the game out of reach for Clach.

Back to winning ways for Bonar after a good performance who could have scored a 3 or 4 in the first half if it wasn’t for missed chances & excellent performance in the second half to secure the 3 points.
